Disney Dining – Disney Springs’ Blaze Pizza Review
- By Joseph Green
Thinking I’d hit Blaze Pizza during a post-lunch lull, which would give me a chance to get in and out quickly, I visited around 3:00 pm. I was surprised to find the place hopping! It was packed. While it takes just a few minutes to actually cook your pizza, I waited about 20-25 minutes to get my order from start to finish. While I’m not as big a fan of pizza as I am of a good burger, I was more than happy to give this Disney Springs pizzeria a try on Mom’s dime.
I especially loved the fact that I could choose any and all toppings I wanted. As you may be aware, when I’m not in the Disney College Program, I’m an otherwise typical “starving college student”. I know how to get the most for my money with these deals. Packed onto a 12” pizza, my choice of toppings made for a tasty, filling meal. I suppose a couple of people could split one of these pies, but I wasn’t sharing. And admittedly, I didn’t want to compromise on what went on my pizza…can’t imagine where I get this trait.
I was STARVING, but that’s not unusual
Toppings? Yes, please. I had spicy red sauce, goat cheese and mozzarella, Italian sausage, jalapenos, banana peppers, basil and Sriracha. The crust was thin, but soft. It wasn’t crunchy and I liked that. The pizza tasted amazing, but I can’t tell you if that was because it was Blaze and they have good ingredients, or if it’s because I built the pizza. I mean, it’s exciting because, yeah, I loved it and I’d definitely go back, but at the same time, it’s not very surprising that I enjoyed it because I’m the one who made it. I put everything I like on it. To really give an opinion on a Blaze original pizza, I’d have to try one. In regard to the general taste of the pizza (that I made), I thought it was very good. Compared to other pizzas at Walt Disney World, it was great.
I can’t believe I only have about four weeks left before I head home. I’m going to try to squeeze in a few more reviews, so if you have any requests, please leave a comment. Thanks for reading…Joe
